What Is Cardiovascular Disease?
The heart and blood arteries are affected by cardiovascular disorders (CVDs). Heart and blood vessel disease (commonly known as heart disease) encompasses a wide range of issues, many of which are linked to atherosclerosis. To control cardiovascular disease, you can make changes in lifestyle or ask your doctor to prescribe drugs. The earlier cardiovascular disease is detected, the easier it is to treat.
When a material called plaque accumulates in the artery walls. This deposit narrows the arteries, making blood flow more difficult. A blood clot can obstruct the flow of blood. A heart attack or stroke can result from this.
Other heart diseases caused due to cardiovascular problems are –
a) Heart rhythm irregularities.
b) Heart valve problems.
c) Plaque narrows blood channels in the heart, other organs, and throughout the body.
d) Heart pounding and difficulty relaxing.
e) You are born with heart and blood vascular issues.
f) Problems with the outer lining of your heart.
Major problem caused due to cardiovascular diseases is
Heart attack-
A heart attack happens when a blood clot blocks blood flow to a portion of the heart. If the clot fully blocks off blood supply, the heart muscle fed by that artery begins to deteriorate.
Stroke-
When a blood vessel that supplies the brain becomes blocked, usually due to a blood clot, an ischemic stroke ensues.
When a section of the brain's blood supply is cut off, some brain cells begin to die. As a consequence, functions regulated by that area of the brain, such as walking and communicating, may be lost.
These conditions require emergency medical attention; if not treated promptly, they may result in death.
